Finish off what I can upstairs before the industrial sander arrives tomorrow. The upstairs of the new house is looking “shabby-chic (but not to shabby)”, which is the interior design “theme” that Tomoko has chosen.
I don’t quite know what that means. I just follow instructions.
Of course, I cannot switch off from wine completely, so I catch the train into London for Roberson’s “Domaine de la Grange des Peres” vertical tasting. I meet HRH Jancis at the entrance. She asks what I have been doing lately and just show her my Dulux-covered hand. Nuff said.
The tasting itself is intriguing, though perhaps not for the right reasons (you’ll have to read Wine-Journal on eRP to find out.) On the way back, I stop off in Clapham for a KFC, but resist temptation and pop into a Chinese restaurant that offer a very pure sweet ‘n sour sauce and service with a scowl (hence, no tip.)
