No hangover…bonus, although the free Baileys offered at the end of the meal repeated on me during the night. In the morning, Carolyn and Vik pop round for the great doughnuts in the world (Gilbert’s, London Road branch in case you were wondering) and then I make use of my day by going to the cinema not once, but twice.
In the afternoon I watch Avatar in 3-D. Sure, the script is pants but the special effects are incredible and the 3-D jaw-dropping. I keep the glasses so that I can see in 3-D even after leaving the cinema. I am not sure if I would like to live in Pandora though. Thus far, I have not Foxton’s selling semi-detaches on the planet, but no doubt they have it in mind, once they clear the rain forest. Then in the evening, I watch “Youth In Revolt”, an excellent little US indie flick with the talented young actor Michael Cera…quirky and amusing. Alas, it is only in 2-D, even when I put on my 3-D glasses again.
For the record: I do not imbibe a single droplet of wine today.
